Moles are not blind they have two pin sized eyes , they can hear and swim . They are perfectly designed for their life underground with their large front feet used for digging. Moles are mainly solitary and very territorial except during breeding season . carnivorous they have 44 teeth and although largely eating earthworms they will eat anything that falls into their tunnel network .They range in size from 11 to 16 cm in length and weigh between 70 and 130g .Tunnel depths can go down to 1 metre .
